In spring 2005, the Solar Ark
will evolve into a symbol of humanity's ongoing need
to live in harmony with the earth.
Two years have passed since the creation of the uniquely
designed Solar Ark and the Solar Lab Solar Energy Museum.
During this period, we have provided activities to foster
in children an interest in environmental issues and
science. We have so far welcomed over 110,000 visitors
from Japan and around the world.
In 2005, the Aichi 2005 World Exposition will be held,
drawing attention to the Tokai and Chubu areas not just
from Japan, but from around the world. The Solar Ark
is ideally positioned to send a message of hope for
overcoming global environmental problems. To this end,
the Solar Ark will keep moving forward.

The Field Lab is the first
outdoor exhibition in Japan with a central motif of "light".
Visitors can enjoy following a nature trail, where they
can experience dramatic changes from season to season. |
